APUC Spend Analysis

APUC processes spend data directly from your institution’s finance system and maps the spend to the supplier instead on a framework agreement, where applicable. This allows APUC to create a detailed comparison of your institutions spend data against the spend data that has been provided by the supplier through our supplier management information (MI) process, as well as identifying spend with suppliers who are not currently named on framework agreements.

Our Spend Analysis Report gives your institution access to:

  • Actual spend vs. supplier MI
  • Spend with non-Framework suppliers
  • Institutional KPI dashboards
  • Your institution’s total collaborative procurement percentage
  • Supplier coding to support additional reporting, including Scope 3 emissions

Spend data is updated every three months, and historical data – often spanning several years – can also be analysed to understand long-term purchasing patterns and behaviors. The spend data is also linked to additional supplier attributes, including living wage accreditation and SME status.

The spend analysis report in Hunter, can reveal where your institution is spending heavily, by:

  • Department
  • Supplier
  • ProcHE Code

Once the spend is fully coded, a suite of reports become available to help your institutions:

  • Maximise the use of framework agreements
  • Increase collaborative spend
  • Identify areas of C and C1 spend that may require further investigation
